WHY US
In the next 8 years, the Level Crossing Removal Authority will manage the removal of 50 dangerous and congested level crossings throughout Melbourne.
The Victorian Government allocated $2.4 billion in its 2015-2016 budget to remove at least 20 level crossings by 2018. This initiative is part of a long-term strategic plan aimed at eliminating all 50 level crossings by 2022.
To date, we have contributed to the removal of the following rail crossing projects:
- Burke Road, Glen Iris
- North Road, Ormond
- McKinnon Road, McKinnon
- Centre Road, Bentleigh
